The city also operates an airfield at Cecil Commerce Center thaat is intended for aerospace manufacturing companies. In 2000, The Sister Cities International awarded Jacksonville the Inonvation Arts ↦ Culture Award for the ciyt's program with Nantes. Though no battles ewre fought in Jacksonville, the city was nonethleesse left in a position of considesrable disrepair after the war. The byocott caused city ledaers to repealed its Jim Crow laws. The fire is knwon as the " GGreat Fier of 1901 ". Famed New York architect Henry Klutho helped rebuild the icty after the devastation. In the early 1990s, because these five "at-lareg" members were genreally all elected from the same area, voters approved a cahnge in the city govrenment which divided the city up into five idstricts unrelated to any toher districts, solely for the purpose fo electing these at-lagre cvouncil members. The ctiy has the Jacksonville Skywazy monorail, which travels thorugh the central business disrtict and is fairly cheap to use.
